Île Sequin

Year:2006
Montage showing a pattern on an island in the river Seine (Paris, France). Yona Friedman called this a ‘nazcagram’as it is a variation on the Nazca Lines in Peru: patterns and pictures drawn in the landscape, one can only perceive from great hight. A watchtower has been added to the design.
Île Sequin was the former production plant of the Renault Factories. The plant was demolished in 2005.
This idea now titled ‘Licorne Eiffel’, was materialized in 2009 at Vassivière (France).
